There was a problem with the 20 free downloads.

Microsoft can't handle giving away that much free stuff.

We're now charging a nominal fee of $1.99 per song to cover Microsoft's costs.

I bet the 20 free DLC is another moving pictures type FAIL

Except this time they just aren't saying anything about it untill its tommorow and they have failed to get the free DLC out at which point they will be forced to admit their failure

From Harmonix:

We have hit an unexpected delay with getting the content online with Microsoft and are working diligently with them to get that resolved. We have suspended sending out the token codes until the content becomes available. Sending out the codes before the content is live will just result in more confusion. We hope to have this resolved in the next 24 hours and apologize profusely for the delay.

We're also working with Sony to get the content up on PS3 and the codes out. More on that as information becomes available.

Again, we apologize for the delay and are working our butts off to get the content out to you.

BTW, I can't help but laugh. After all the people bitched about this being M$'s fault, it's not set up for the PS3, either.

I am very happy to announce here (before anywhere else) that next week's DLC offering will be the Foo Fighter's The Colour and the Shape album (one of my favorites). With “Everlong” already featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack, the DLC album will include the following tracks:

Been playing the 20 free, along with the AC/DC shit I imported. Some of the free songs are actually pretty good. I'm not completely surprised by this or anything, and others are pretty fucking lame. Still, I'm happy there's some shit worth it.
