To be honest, I'm not sure if I would go with Philly. Last year - they caught some superior teams (i.e. Montreal) off-guard. I'm not sure if that will happen again this year.

I'll probably be wrong but I think Pitsburgh will be the 1st team (in 8 years I believe) to come out of the East, back to back. If I recall correctly, the last team to do this was the New Jersey Devils back in 2001.

As far as the West goes, I can't see any other team coming out other than Detroit or San Jose.

If Luongo gets healthy AND if Sundin signs with the Canucks, then I would put the Canucks in that same category. Otherwise - it's between those two teams.

If Philly can add a d man, then I'd make them the fav out of the east. There are talks of JB coming from Florida to Philly.

Biron is too all over the place, tbh there is no clear cut in the east other than maybe Boston right now.
