Just watched SmackDown!. A really fun show. I even marked out for Triple H schooling Vladimir Kozlov a bit. Matt Hardy wasn't involved in the main event beat-down segment at all. A pretty pedestrian show, though. Perhaps the most exciting thing about it is that Ezekiel Jackson wore red trunks, instead of his disgustingly small black ones.

As for where Matthew is heading, I'm still sort of hoping that he turns out to be behind the Jeff Hardy attack, and then turns heel in revealing it, and the two fight over the ECW Championship come WrestleMania.

That's not really a contradiction. Why can't a "paint-by-the-numbers" show be entertaining to watch now and again? Nothing special really happened, but what did happen was done well.
