And they know the problem, because the error message comes up and says prolly can't connect with this player. So fix the fucking shit. You only hyped the game for like a year.

It was fun. I'm not so hot on the right of the screen, you might have noticed me trying to get to the left.
Thumbs up to anyone that is equally as good on the left and right of the screen.

I'm wondering if being left handed could have something to do with it. I know Boomer isn't so good on the right because he told us in the SFIV thread and if he's left handed, we could be onto something. I know it sounds unlikely but I'm sure I was told their were things right handed people did better than left handed people and vice versa. Maybe mirroring acute movements with your hands/fingers is one of the thing right handed people are better at.

I've notice that when you and I, Kaylx, are both Ken, we've mirrored each other on more than one occasion. Same move, same time. It's strange but cool.

I'm right-handed, but the difficulty of switching every move around to go to the left is terrible for me. Also, I figured out why I'm probably so terrible with F, D, DF. I'm so defense with every character that I find myself backing up all the time. You obviously can't back up and do those moves...so I've never used them enough to get used to using them in the context of the game.

Maybe it's the NAT settings. There's a lengthy explanation on how to fix that over at Bungie.net. I haven't tried it yet but they say it solves a lot of connection issues.

I've been working on fighting from the right of the screen. I think I'm making some improvement.

I played online against a couple of guys to try out my practice in an actual match. I did well and beat them both one after the other. When the first guy faced me again, he spammed Ryus fire hadoukens and I couldn't get near him. When I did get near him, he would just shoryuken me and start spamming the hadoukens again. I managed to get in a few hits but he ended up beating me. I wouldn't say it annoyed me but it did suck the fun out of it. People like that always ruin online for me.
On a side note, would it be an over reaction to give a negative player review for the spamming?

There's ways around Ryu's fireball volley, but stuff like that could be a bitch to work around.

Spamming fireballs is a fair strategy IMO. At least it isn't some glitch they are exploiting. Most of the characters have a move that passes through projectiles, if I'm not mistaken.

Spamming fireballs doesn't work against even the crappiest of Guile, E. Honda, Zangief and Chun-Li users.
