How important is The Miz to the success of 'The In Crowd'?

In another thread, I said something about The Miz outgrowing the Poochy nickname bestowed upon him by TPWW (Kane Knight, I believe). For those unfamiliar, there was a period in time where instead of a wrestler, The Miz was used primarily as a "host" for SmackDOWN! His placement, to some, gave off the feeling of a last-ditched effort to try anything different on a failing show, much like the fictional character Poocy used on The Simpsons in some episode.

Kane Knight retorted that he has gone from being 'Poochy' to being 'That guy that teams with Morrison'. He may or may not have a point there.

As far as the tag team of The Miz and John Morrisson go, I will say that I enjoy both of them. However, I think it's quite obvious that John Morrison is the Shawn Michaels, whilst The Miz is the Marty Jannetty. However, I don't think that the team would work half as well if The Miz didn't play the role that he does in the team. He's far from Poochy, at very least.

Just a thought. I'm open to all opinions on this matter.
