You see, this is where I don't understand people. Enter Sandman sounds like every other song they have. How is that one any more unique than the other five hundred songs they have that sound like that?

The majority of Metallica songs aren't very similar, stylistically. They are formulaicly, mind, but I doubt many people who liten to Sandman care that this song has the same structural layout.

because it's on the radio and it was the big mainstream hit. They're slaves to that shit.

Next time you see someone with a Metallica shirt, ask them if they can name 3 songs off that album. Usually they can't.


I liked Metallica and all as a middle schooler. Kinda grew out of it, although I do respect and occasionally enjoy their old stuff. They were a great band back in the day, and they get my credit.
Nowhere near my favorite band though. And they don't touch Zeppeliln with a 10 foot pole.
