I'm surprised Diesel Mac didn't post the new songs yet.


Get up, get on up, as next week's Rock Band DLC brings some funkified freak and alternative rock. The funk pack includes the legendary performer James Brown and is labeled "01," which we'll take as some small sign that more funk is on the way. There's also several individual tracks from modern bands.

Get the Funk Out 01 3-pack (440 / $5.50)

  • "Shining Star" - Earth Wind & Fire (160 / $2)

On the song selection screen, you can sort the list by "Location" and the headers should say how much songs are under each category (Downloaded, RB1, RB2). Just add up those three totals to see how many songs you have.

So when playing online score duel or tug of war, is there like a way to look for people who play at the same level as you?

I'm just getting tired of finding people who want to play on medium when I'm on expert.

If something in your band's name or motto raises red flags you can't participate in those challenges, since that would mean the possibility of posting all of that publicly.

Rock Band 'Classic Rock' Track Pack set for May 19, all consoles

MTV Games, Harmonix and EA have announced the May 19 release date for Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii for $29.99. While GameStop revealed the same date and price a few weeks back, following an ESRB listing a few weeks before that, today we have official confirmation, along with the full setlist (which is set in stone after the break).

Additionally, purchasers of the Xbox 360 or PS3 version can download -- free of charge -- the on-disc tracks onto the console's hard drive (via Xbox Live or PSN), integrating the songs with any preexisting Rock Band DLC. It's worth noting that the Track Pack offers a reduced cost per song ($1.50) when compared to the $1.99 single-track DLC price. Of course, if you're as impulsive as we are (we done bought all these classics -- twice), then this entire post isn't really worth noting at all.
