He's a selfish player, he gave a speech opening night about he didn't event want to be a Celtics... but "since they made a trade and got KG and Allen"...
Yeah, the team did good considering all, and that's not my issue... just sick of Pierce and his crap and spending 1/2 his press conference talking about "injuries"... he never takes blame himself..
just mad annoying, doesn't mean i'd cut him, or trade him for nothing... but equal value... yeah, I do it..
He's not an MVP, he's not a team leader.
As for Davis... I think a lot of it will have to do with money, and with Ray, Paul and KG not getting any younger I could see him staying here.
I worry though with his age and weight issue, if he gets a big deal, he's not going to keep his weight down.

I was trying to say that his game looks mad ugly either way, its just that when he has a bad shooting night it looks so terrible because he puts shots that look awful, he isn't a "pretty" shooter like a Ray Allen. People just don't notice seem notice how awful the shots look when he is hitting them, which happens a lot. I haven't heard all of his speech from before the 1st game and I don't really care about it anyway. I did notice people calling into WEEI and bringing it when flicking through the stations so I'm not surprised you brought it up. All I know his with him the Celtics wouldn't won have the NBA Championship and he was the MVP of that series, not to mention he's a consensus All Star. If he brought up injuries a bunch of times I guess I haven't seen it, I only saw one quote where he mentioned how this year was still pretty successful considering all the injuries they had, which I would agree with. I don't really see that as making an excuse but maybe that's just my opinion. As for him being a leader I don't really know, I'm not in the locker room or anything but I would have to think he is after hearing the way guys talk about him in the media.
Just a quick question, do you think it was selfish of him to ask if he could guard Kobe in the NBA Finals last year when he wasn't initially?
And for the Lakers/Nuggets series everyone is asking "Who is gonna guard who?" but each team presenting some really interesting match ups going both ways. I think it will be a good series.
