Harrison is pretty comparable to all those guys on that list, I'd say he is better than a couple of guys on there but obviously not all of them. I wouldn't really consider any of those players "shit" either though. I don't think Harrison is the greatest player ever nor did I say he was as good or better than Bob Sanders (no idea why you brought him up). Bob Sanders is probably the 2nd best safety in the NFL right now. Maybe Harrison is a bit overrated I don't know? I didn't think he was rated all that highly by a lot of people but I could be wrong about that. Either way I know he definitely isn't shit and saying that, then trying to defend it is pretty stupid. He did get caught with HGH which is pretty stupid move but I still don't think that knocks him down to a "shit" player. Also athletes aren't heroes for me, I'm a grown man.

lol @ you calling people homers then bringing up Bob Sanders career statistics out of no where to put Harrison's "career into perspective" though. How exactly does that put Harrison's career into perspective? All it proves is that Bob Sanders is better than Rodney Harrison, so anyone who isn't as good as Bob Sanders is shit now? I like the passion Harrison brought to his game, but for me personally I think he is easy to hate if you're not a Pats fan. I feel the same way about Brian Dawkins, obviously he was an Eagle player and I'm a Giants fan, so I'm clearly biased. Kinda started hating on Dawkins really bad when he ended Ike Hilliard's season one year on a questionable late hit.

Ahem, now... There shouldn't be any denial of what Harrison is. a solid enough defender to be the second best player on the San Deigo Chargers while Junior Seau was there. He was able to find his way into a system and team who could use his deteriorating talents. He won some rings yipee, goodbye Harrison.

And Bob Sanders would define overrated until he can string some solid HEALTY seasons together.

I think that They'll take advantage of the uncapped year next year. Overall, I think moving Boldin would've been the best move. However, yuo don't want to piss off your HOF Quarterback.

You said Rodney Harrison was overrated by Pats fans and were critical of people who put him up on a pedestal despite the fact that he wasn't that critical a part of a team that was already Super Bowl contenders.


Yet you have no problem talking about how great Bob Sanders is on a daily basis when he's essentially the same player. He's a good but injury prone player on a team that was a Super Bowl contender without him.


And me bringing up Bob Sanders is completely relevant because it shows you're a hypocrite.

They also probably realize that Boldin, for better or worse, is generally a good "team guy", and won't put up a real stink if his contract demands aren't met. It gives them a bit of time and leverage to work with, which may be why they focused on getting other players taken care of before him.

Could be a big offseason next year in Arizona with the uncapped year. Warner might not even be back either, he's getting older. Their feel-good story could be pretty short-lived.

While the masses are ready to write off Matt Leinart, I'm not. I think if they can keep Fitz, Beenie, and at least Breaston he could be a really good QB. Now the defense is another matter. WIlson is a solid start in keeping a mediocre corp together. Dockett should settle down with Three full years on his deal left, and they have to figure out what to do with Bertrand Berry. Did they do anything to get better on defense? Greg Ellis is available.

I dunno about the Cardinals, I want to think they were a fluke and won't be as good next year but who is gonna challenge them from the NFC West? Could be a toss up with the new coaches in the division.

Yeah Cards will probably win the West by default, but who knows after that.

One team I'm excited about this year is the Texans. I think Slaton could be the real deal, and obvs the Texans do to since they haven't added any real competition this offseason. Their passing offense is going to be basically identical to last year, which is good. They helped the D out a bunch in the draft (loved the Cushing pick), but who knows if it will be enough.

Jets D is the key. If Ryan can get them up and running to Ravens-lite levels they'll be pretty dangerous - wouldn't even have to lean on Sanchez that much as long as they keep their run game going.

yeah, D is a concern... I think Lenon will be a good fit and, I expect another monster year from Mayo...

But the secondary will be a ? mark once again... but with the exception of Samuel there isn't a huge difference between the team 2yrs ago and this team... unless i'm forgetting someone....

yeah, we don't have Vrabel, but we didn't have Mayo back then... so a little give in take...

ugh... just want the season to start... what are the odds Brady doesn't play a down all preseason?

and I forgot about Taylor... lots of injury and age questions but enough depth there they should be good at RB.

I think Shawn Springs could be a huge pick up for the secondary. I know he's a bit on the older side now but from what I've heard he did a pretty nice job against TO the 2 times he faced off against him last year. Curious to see who steps up and plays opposite of Springs at the other starting CB spot.

I think they are expecting a lot from Crable this year as well, I think he could fit the mold of a 3-4 OLB after watching him play in college. Too bad he lost the entire season last year due to injury.

AFC East is gonna be real this year though, will definitely be an interesting year.

Ya true. Dunno Jenkins was a decent pickup but he needs to stay in shape, which he's never done. David Harris is awesome, and they might actually get Gholston to do something this year.

I really like the Lito Sheppard trade though. He was pretty damn good a couple years ago, no reason he can't get back to that level. Him & Revis is a pretty nice pairing.

Gholston won't give them anything, so obvious he wasn't worth the 6th overall or whatever he was. Defensive version of Vernon Davis.

Also heard Joey Porter saying the AFC East still runs through Miami, why? Just because they got lucky last year and won it? Every team has arguably gotten better while the Dolphins really have not.
