the cover version in GH3 was based on the Alive! version...this one is the regular studio version.

Would recommend this only as a rental for anyone who's seriously never picked up a fake Guitar and played a GH game. I'd rate it about 6.67/10. IGN didn't think much higher of it, giving it a 7.0 ("Decent").

So if any of you haven't yet played a GH game, hold off on buying this, and wait to see if GH 5 is going to be any good.

Even if you were to leave out about 5 or 6 songs it would still be cheaper then getting them at 160 ms points a piece as DLC.

Assuming of course I was planning on getting every song, but I see your point. Also, if you have $200:



Basically the PS3 one with new colors. Doubt anybody will shell out that much for a controller... But the three-tier fret buttons will be standard, mark my words. Perhaps with gameplay bonuses for playing the right fret area, or maybe an Expert+ Guitar mode where you have to play in the right tier. Just some thoughts. I'll share more in the old thread from way back.

There were more than 30 Songs I wanted to play so it felt like a good deal. I still have a hatred for TTFAF.

Aside from Expert difficulty I cannot see why you'd hate this song. Yes it's very long, but it's also a great way to pick up a few achievements...



That guy was able to rack up 948,000 or so on expert so yeah, a lot of upsides to that song. Certainly more that outweigh any of it's downsides.

Just curious, does GH: SH have "Story of My Life" (by Social Distortion)?

Oh, and what's with the progress tracker for your star rating going up when you're doing nothing?

I beat the guitar career on Hard in like two days, and I started Expert, but I also started hard bass so I could get through that. Okay, so I think it was "mother" where I noticed that my progress was going up for nothing. Like, I'm sitting there waiting for the first note, and I have more than half a star already.
