Does that Richer kid need some help? Yes, and I hope he's getting it. But is he worthy of being locked away in prison, having his life ruined, and being branded a sex offender for the rest of his life? No, not in my book. Obviously in yours. But I'd rather have my tax dollars go to placing real criminals behind bars, not lonely internet geek's or bored young men.
Yeah well by law he is 18 what he was doing is wrong. He was going to meet a 13 year old girl for sex. He made the choose to ruin his life. Chris Hansen didn't stick a gun to his head and make him go. HE CHOOSE TO GO!!! He ruined his life not the internet or To Catch a Predator. He choose to ruin his own life.

If you can't see anything wrong with that then you are a fucking moron.

First of all, more often than not these cases dont end up in prison/jail time.

I guess youve never seen a cop do his thing before... they come running out like that with tasers drawn when a drunk guy is kicked out of a bar and is yelling.

Just because you need to be 21 to drink doesnt mean your not an adult. The LAW says you are an adult at 18 so just because you still sonsider him a teenager, your consideration is meaningless.

I just think a hard slap on the wrist would be better then jail time. I'm glad the folks at NBC decided not to air his interview. Sure, it's on the net, but it never made the final cut on the show. I think they even knew seeing a kid's life getting ruined would upset people. His interview also makes me able to see why some people protested the show, and believed the whole thing was entrapment.

A slap on the wrsit just means he is going to go out and do it again. Jail should teach him the gravity of his situation he put himself in. Second he mad the choice to come and he thought crying was going to get him out of it. Sorry it doesn't work like that he was going to meet a 13 year old girl so he really wasn't thinking of the implications of what could happen. He has sociopathic tendenices and he needs to be punished for it. Had he not gotten Jail time he would have kept on doing the same thing over and over again. I have seen his interview on To Catch a Predator Raw so it did make it. So he can relieve that moment he put himself in. He choose to ruin his life not in anyway was he forced to come.


So you feel sorry for a perv and weirdo that says alot about your character.

I make fun of most of these guys. That 19-year old is the only one I've ever felt bad for. I just honestly don't see how it doesn't damage a 13-year old to bang a 15-year old, but it does if the guy is 19? Give me a break.

What? Read the chats. Part of the stipulation is that they can't -initiate- the contact, or the offer of sex. The kid was CONSTANTLY asking for it. Yeah he felt 'iffy', but he kept doing it anyways, even though he knew he would get in trouble if he got caught (he said that multiple times in the chat)

Well, I have not read the full chat, but the decoy could have said something like...."Okay, well, don't worry about us meeting then."

I've read other chat logs before where the decoys NEVER do that. They just keep egging the guys on to come over cause all they care about is screwing up someone's life to make themselves feel better. Heck, I could get into that myself.....but they should have had mercy on the kid. He's not a grown-up. He's just a kid too.

Again, why aren't the middle schoolers ever punished for acting like sluts? See, that's the problem with society....we baby our kids, and spoil them, and make them think they can get away with anything, then they grow up, and still think they can get away with stuff, expect others to baby and spoil them, and mentally, still think and act like children.

But the second those kids turn 18, society just throws them to the wolves, and expects them to behave like adults after wiping their noses for them their whole lives.

I think that may have been the case with Richer. Physcially, he may have been a man, but mentally, he was like a 13-year old.

The above logic only applies to men by the way. Just another example of sexism against men. Women can pretty much always be spoiled, and treated like children forever, and not be damaged later as a result. HOT women that is..... funny how most of those pretty women probably don't realize men are only nice to them cause they wanna fuck em'....and if they weren't fuckable looking, no man would waste his time being a "gentleman". But some women probably know that, and probably enjoy that thought. Anyhow, that's another topic.

I can agree with that, and I think some are worst then others. There are guys that are just straight up evil, and will hurt kids, and even kill them so they won't rat on em'. And again, I think some of these guys just never grew up mentally in some parts of their brain. Nine-TEEN.....the word says he's a teenager. And in the case of Richer, he did end up behind bars. Six months to be exact, with three years probation. He got off REALLY, REALLY easy compared to some other guys, but still, a very rough punishment. I just really and truly hope he learned his lesson, won't ever do anything like that again, and that his life won't be ruined, and that he'll still able to reach his dreams, and do what he wants.
