I'm am fairly positive that any response to this will be full of negativity from people younger than me, who are obviously easily manipulated by the media....

But still. I remember when live performances were about performances, not gaudy props. Not ZOMG SOMETHING SHINY!

Anyway, I chuckled at Nunder's response back then, as well as now. Fuck Michael Jackson. Yeah, he influenced Pop alright. Helped turned it into being about spectacle and not music. God, even the 70s weren't that full of this bullshit.
