Wow. The Mets rejected a trade that could have gotten them Roy Halladay. All they had to do was give up Fernando Martinez, Bobby Parnell, Jon Niese and Ruben Tejada.

Hey Vito, I know your boys are hurting (no pun intended) right now, but would you go for it?

Are you serious? That's all it took and they rejected it? It's kinda hilarious that Halladay could have been gotten for that . When we would have had to pay Joba/Hughes +++.

Honestly, I wouldn't. The Mets have barely any prospects to speak of as it is...they really can't afford to gut the system any more. If they were healthy and right in the hunt, I would make the deal with eyes on making the playoffs/WS this year and in 2010...but right now I can't in good conscience do it.

Hmmmm.... I just heard that this was a fake rumor. Omar Minanya was on Wfan saying this offer was never made.
