Santina Marella has been proven to be a completely different person to Santino Marella. Did you not see the backstage segment where Trump fired her?

I'm not sure if I do understand what is being suggested. A woman who dresses like a man? I think that could actually work. I remember when Shantelle Taylor (now Taylor Wilde in TNA) was wrestling dark matches as "San-Eye" against Jamie Noble. She had a mask, was fully clothed, and got to go over Noble a few times. An angle like that could be interesting, with a female wrestler penetrating the traditionally male ranks under an assumed identity that disguises her gender. If she were able to hang with the male competitors, it could give her credibility for the rest of her career.

A female version of Goldust? Eh, it might work. Mickie James sort of had lesbian vibes during the angle where she was obsessed with Trish Stratus. I seem to remember that being some of the most over stuff a female wrestler has ever done.
