Rey has consistantly been one of the most over, as well as marketable wrestlers in the company. It would be silly to restrict his exposure to just the cruiserweight or tag division. Plus, the only people who don't buy rey as a World title contender are a small portion of the IWC, which as a whole is a very small percentage of wwe's fanbase.

And I totally disagree with the spot monkey nonsense. Just because a guy uses high spots doesn't make him a spot monkey. Rey has great in-ring psychology, and story telling. He knows how to build to those spots and use them at the right time.

The problem with rey's title run was that they forgot how he got there in the first place. And I don't mean eddie's death, because he was facing main event guys long before that. His gimmick for the last 8 years has pretty much been that he is so quick and so good, that he can score a flash pin on anyone, at anytime. I mean, his first major fued in wwe was against kurt angle, and he scored a pin on him even. And he beat a ton of main eventers, from then, til when he won the title. But once he won it, they decided he needed controversy to hold onto the title. Retarded.
