WWE Champion: Shawn Michaels
Come on, is there a guy better than Shawn Michaels out there? HBK is a main eventer, a future Hall of Famer, a great worker, and still has plenty of dream matches out there. He has also held far too few World Championships, in my opinion. Time to add a fourth WWE Title to his resume. A Shawn Michaels WWE Title tour would be fantastic, as he can have matches with MVP, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and even guys like The Miz, and it will be fresh, exciting and potentially create new stars. United States Champion: Chavo Guerrero The Last Warrior needs to bounce back from this shit with Hornswoggle in a bad way. While The Miz has painted a target for himself on the title, and Jack Swagger seems like a natural fit as champion, I think Chavo Guerrero is a guy who definitely needs a title reign of some sort right now. Have him bring in Alberto Banderas from FCW as his bodyguard, and have that be what allows him to get the edge on guys like Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and the like for a few months. Viva la raza! Divas Champion: Gail Kim While I consider Mickie James, Beth Phoenix and Gail Kim all suitable Divas Champions right now, I think Kim is the one who needs the most help getting air right now, so I'd give her back her old music, and let her pick up a victory over whoever the Divas Champion at that time is (there are benefits to it being both Beth Phoenix and Mickie James), and we can get a three-way feud over the title. ECW Champion: William Regal The first British World Champion in WWE history! At least, that is how Regal should promote himself. The man is truly the epitome of what a great worker should be, and he deserves a credible run somewhere. Christian can always bounce back, and Regal could also get a feud going with Shelton Benjamin afterwards. World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk Right now, I don't see anyone who is a better fit for the World Heavyweight Title than CM Punk. Matt Hardy could use a push, but ultimately I don't think he is more pressing than Punk right now. Intercontinental Champion: The Undertaker What better way to make the IC Title look prestigious than to have a future Hall of Famer win it at this stage of his career. It's one of the few things The Undertaker has never done, and I could see a feud between Taker and Dolph Ziggler over the title being interesting, at the very least. I'd have him drop the IC Title off to Kane, as a way of giving his nod of respect to Kane, who refused to go over Taker at Mania to end the streak when suggested. Women's Champion: Natalya She's possibly the best women's wrestler in the entire WWE right now, and possibly in North America. She deserves to be treated as a credible heel threat within the division, and a run with the Women's Title would not be out of place for her. With my pick for who the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions are, I would have Natalya follow them to whatever show they wrestle on, as the Women's Champion. This can create tension between Natalya and whoever the Divas Champion on RAW is (preferably Gail Kim). A feud between the two Canadians could be fantastic. Unified WWE Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty They're a real tag team, they could benefit from the exposure, and they are both still very young and have time to develop. I'd possibly consider giving these guys respective runs with the US Title while appearing on RAW, as well. |
