I love how to beat most of the levels, you have to get it down just right. Make one wrong move and you're fucked.

I agree.
To me, this brought more replay value to the game than most modern games have. You literally had to play, over and over, until you memorized how the game works, what bug pops up where, how to beat each boss efficiently, etc.
