I guess Fred-Ex does have something for Harrison now....

The Seymour move is surprising a bit, but makes sense. He and Wilfork are both in their last years, plus I think Brady has 2yr left which is usually when they redo his deal. Gotta keep Wilfork.

Plus you get a 1st round pick, it's the raiders so we'll assume top 10.

What I find really funny is the Raiders may only have him for 1yr... he's a free agent after this year... I mean they could franchise him... They said he's in the best shape of his career so he could have a monster year in Oakland and then break the bank.

as for O'Connell, good move by Det, use the waiver move and get a draft pick for nothing. I wonder how much of the Jets getting him was to pick his brain about the Pats offense.

The word is here he has good physical tools but couldn't grasp the offense... otherwise they never would have cut him.

as for "lights out" he's saying she was drunk and he was trying to get her to stay while he got her a ride.

She says it's not possible, that she's allergic to allergic to alcohol which is why she got her name.

As much as I'm not a fan of his, I'll give him the benefit of innocent till proved guilty, it was a citizens arrest by her on charges of assault and imprisonment or something like that, and it's up to the SD DA to investigate and decide if charges should be pressed.

The Seymour trade just makes no sense for the Raiders. He's not as big of a difference maker as he was a few years ago, and odds are the Patriots' incoming first rounder will be in the first draft class with slotted rookie salaries, so they won't have to pay their Top 5 pick $30 million guaranteed, either.

Just a stroke of genius on New England's part when it comes to the draft (again). They know they're likely going to be drafting in the last 5 picks of the draft every year, so they go out every couple years and trade for a top first round pick to constantly add top talent. When that player gets expensive, rinse and repeat the process. It's like a small market baseball team constantly churning out top prospects.

The Lions offense looked pretty legit from what I saw in the preseason, but Stafford never showed life when the game was on the line at UGA. He's definitely got a hell of an arm though.

The Giants cut him on Saturday, he was terrible. The Skins only signed him to get him to spill the beans about the Giants' signals.

Even Tom Coughlin said the move would benefit both sides...and when asked how it benefited the Giants in any way, he just smiled and moved on, basically acknowledging that he sucked.

They don't even need to draft that high either with the Raider's pick since it could have more value to another team and trade that pick for a future pick or a few lower round picks for more depth players.

McNabb arrested for assaulting tailor

Eagles QB Donovan McNabb was arrested this morning on assault charges at a local Men's Warehouse, where McNabb was being fitted for a suit. Witnesses say a fight broke out between McNabb and the tailor. While the tailor was helping his client, McNabb became angry and attacked. When police got McNabb in custody, the Eagles QB was shouting he did not know it was a tie. Appearently the Eagles QB didn't understand what the tailor was doing when he put the tie around his neck. McNabb's lawyer issued a comment stating "his client is only being treated in this manner because he is one of those athletes".

My brother was telling me Seymour hasn't even reported to the Raiders yet. Anyone else hear this? I haven't seen it online or noticed it mentioned on ESPN or anything

MTV star Tila Tequila said steroids may have been part of the problem late Saturday night when San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Shawne Merriman(notes) allegedly assaulted her, according to ProFootballTalk.

Tequila tweeted a whole slew of posts about the incident and has since removed some of them but one of them read "Steroid Abuse Can Cause Aggression" and linked to a story about Merriman's 2007 four-game suspension due to a violation of the league's performance-enhancing substance policy.

Merriman is building a story that he was saving Tequila from herself by not letting her drive home drunk, and Tequila hasn't bothered to say her side of exactly what happened. She says that will change today, what she's calling "judgment day."

So be sure you haven't heard the last of this PR War. It'll likely to drag on for a while.

Not getting rid of it exactly. I believe the final year of the current CBA calls for there to be no cap, somewhat as a motivator for the NFLPA and the owners to make a deal. Not working though. If no deal is reached soon, next year will be uncapped and the following season will likely be a lock out.

I've moved up almost 3,000 spots on the Broncos season tickets list in the last few months. Went from 7,800 to 4,100. Signed up when I was 16, 21 now. And when I'd first signed up I was around 17,000
