I mean, I like it, because I've always been fascinated by other cultures so I'm more open to it then most.

Don't get me wrong tho. I can see why other people would think it utterly ridiculous. A lot of it is pretty out there.

This is true, the thing I find with Anime is theres so much within every genre there's practically something that should appeal to everyone. You do get the popular Shounen shows like DBZ, Naruto or Bleach but if you delve further you can find some real gems.
