OMG... I'm pretty confident about the offense on Wednesday. There are so many other variables though. And next time how bout you pitch a lefty against Johnny Damon in the 9th. |

I hate when things get this close in baseball. Because the possibility of Joe blowing this grows with every single Phillies win.

I bets Charlie Manuel pulls the old switcharoo and gives Brad Lidge a plane ticket to Alaska instead of New York.

Lee will pitch, but he ain't starting. You'll definately see him in relief if it's close You'll see a lot of weird things going on in Game 7. I'll admit I shut the game off as soon as the ball came off Utley's bat in the 1st. I didn't even watch it land. I get so worked up with Yankee playoff games. I did turn it back on once to see a 6-1 score and then went to bed. |

Why wouldnt he start though? It's not like they'll blow this guys arm out. It's game 7 of the world series. Screw the happy horseshit and get this guy out there. BTW LC. Chase Utley has made CC his bitch this series. Chase Utley is becomming a legend. |

You know what though, I like what the Phillies are doing. They're gunna piss Cole Hamels off so much that if this game gets to a game 7, the guy will have straight gas to throw for like 11 innings.

I went from a 3 to a 9 from game 5 to tomorrow on the scale of 1-10 on how worried are you? If it goes 7, i'll be a 90 |

I honestly think its going 7 for two reasons. 1) The Phillies bats are incredible. They're bombing on the Yanks even with Ryan Howard having one of the worsts series ever. God forbid Howard decides to chip in during game 6. 2) Pedro Martinez will be at his very best in game 6. The guy is a big game pitcher. He's gunna bring a big game.

I've been on a 10 since the Twins series. After what happened in 2004, I'll never be calm again. I think we even have a chance of seeing AJ again in Game 7 for some middle relief. I just hope they hit Pedro early tomorrow night and score a couple runs. Pettite needs to go 6 and then we just need a stop in the 7th. Rivera is definately going for 2 innings if it's close |

Plus with Lee, they kind of got to him last night. He wasn't lights out like Game 1. From what I saw in the highlights anyway. Somebody who watched the entire game would be better to comment. So I don't really know if it would be in thier best interest to start him again

Yeah, I mean he gave up 5 runs in 7 innings I think. I thought it was strange how in the post game everyone said how dominant he was again. If Burnett didn't shit the bed we had a good chance in the game. Anyway, Game 6 is most likely gonna be a battle of the bullpens, which is kinda scary on both sides. Phillies have killed the Yanks bullpen outside of Mariano, but the Yankees have scored late runs off the Phillies bullpen every night it seems. As long as Pettitte doesn't pull a Burnett I think the Yanks will win tomorrow. If it goes to a game 7 it will just be crazy. No idea what will happen then. |

Pettitte on 3 days rest has to be a concern, especially given his home/away splits this year. 4.59 ERA and .285 BAA at Yankee Stadium this season.

Yeah, it definitely is. I just don't think Pedro will be as good as he was last time either though. This will be the first postseason start he's going on with normal rest. Last couple he's had 10+ days off in between each. Who knows if that'll affect him or not. I dunno, I'm just imagining both guys going 5 and then handing it over to the bullpens. |

probably.............................in the bullpen. Right now, Joba as Dragon said he is basically our set up guy for Mariano. I think the Yankees have a better chance at throwing Chad Gaudin in for a start. (Which I am extremely afraid of TBH)

Girardi won't start Gaudin. Man's been ice cold and hasn't thrown a pitch in over a month. Hughes got out of the doghouse and Coke went in. So expect to see Marte, Chamberlain, Hughes, and MAYBE K-Rob. Then again, if we got a lead 7 innings in, I want Mo to get the last 6 outs. |

Phillies should start Cole Hamels if there is a Game 7, but only give him three innings. He's solid the first time through the lineup, but gets dismantled the second time around. Then give Cliff Lee and Joe Blanton 3 innings each to close out the game.

It's over in game 6, unfortunately Kinda have found myself rooting for the Phillies, since my close friend is a fan, too. Kinda sucks being a Dodgers fan and rooting for those fags though. |

Honestly, I hope that there is a game 7 just to see how the pitching matchups would go for the Phillies and what the Yankees would do as well.
