In terms of this show, the balance seems to be keeping Bret Hart face, D-Generation X face, and Vince McMahon heel. I’d imagine Hart isn’t returning to be a heel, so to me, a screwjob with Shawn Michaels in the Walls of Jericho, but Hart saving the day and restarting the match.

Maybe I'm just a really negative person... but that would be horrible. I'm not tuning in to see them shake hands and hug. I'd like to see the last 13 years of animosity between Shawn and Bret addressed instead of being swept under the rug like nothing happened. They have 13 years of build and it would be stupid to waste it.

Apparently The Hart Dynasty have been told to be at RAW. This is going to be awesome. I am so hoping that after DX retain their titles against Jeri-Show, Bret leads Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith & Natalya out on the stage, and makes an impromtu title defence for DX right there and then -- against The Hart Dynasty.

Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith then get some revenge for (Uncle) Bret, and win their first Tag Team Championship from Triple H & Shawn Michaels. From there, they can go with Bret vs. Shawn; Triple H vs. Shawn; or continue DX vs. The Hart Dynasty.

Just a random thought: I think it would be amazing if Santino Marella approaches Bret Hart about training him on RAW, and Bret agrees. This can be a kayfabe way of turning Marella into a more serious presence.

HHH wants bret hart to fail tonight
Regarding Shawn Michaels’ outlook on real-life rival Bret Hart returning to World Wrestling Entertainment, he is said to be happy that the “Hitman” is coming back and is more than willing to bury whatever hatchet there is between them.

On the flip side, Triple H has been telling people he doesn’t want Hart back in WWE and that he hopes his return to the company fails. Considering that his wife, Stephanie McMahon-Levesque, is head of creative in the company, it would appear that Vince McMahon may have to overrule his daughter and son-in-law if his storyline with Hart is to be a success. Providing things go well, a Hart vs. McMahon blow-off will be taking place at WrestleMania.

Hart’s animosity towards Michaels and Hunter can summed up in a few sentences in his 2007 autobiography release as he concluded Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling by saying he’ll never forgive either two for “killing the business” that so many people gave their lives for.

“When I got into the business, wrestling was all about trust and respect, and doing the honours meant something. I’ll never forgive Shawn, or Hunter, for killing the business that so many of us gave our lives for,” Hart wrote. “Although pro wrestling will never truly die, but always morph into something else, the business that I knew and loved and gave all I had to is dead and gone forever.”

Hart criticized Michaels further in his book’s afterword, notably calling him “a phony, liar and a hairless yellow dog.”

“Shawn Michaels found religion and settled down with an ex-Nitro girl. Over time he seemed to have convinced himself that it was me who screwed him over at Survivor Series. To me, Shawn will always be a phony, liar and a hairless yellow dog.” Hart continued, “The difference between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels is that I’d have never done to him, or to any of the boys, what he did to me.”

Kind of funny that the guy who was actually involved in the incident (Michaels) is welcoming the return, while the guy who really had nothing to do with it (HHH) is against it. Seems kind of backwards, but good for Shawn if he's honestly willing to bury the hatchet. I just don't know why Hunter would be against it, other than the fact that Hart hurt his feelings or something.

In all seriousness, I think Shawn knows he was a dick back then and he deserved some of the things he got. If you watch the documentary WWE made for him in 07 you can see how much he has grown as a person and really came back from one foot in the grave and his remorse towards his coworkers, family, etc.

Triple H takes it personally because of his passion for the business, and Triple H thinks Bret was trying to hurt the business.
