Yea, in my heart i would've liked to see Farve v Manning; Legend vs The Best Today. Hell of a storyline (there is my wrestling coming out). But its good to see NO go to the SB. The city needed that.

Farve has got to be sick right now. But he played his heart out, though. Can't really dump it on him though. When you fumble 5x, you really have to have God on your side to still win.

#1 vs #1 for the first time in years. NFC just doesn't seem as threatening as the AFC though. The mistakes in that game were ridiculous.

I don't want to sound all "it was supposed to happen", but c'mon:

-Saints win coin toss
-Phantom Pass Interference call (IMO)
-Dropped pass by Colston kept as a catch
-Farve not running the ball on that roll out and throwing an INT
-5 fumbles by the Vikings

Saints were so supposed to win this game, its weird.

I dont think that anyone was "supposed" to win this game. The Vikes turned the ball over...alot. You can't do that in a conference championship and expect to win.

Hate an all top seeded Super Bowl. I love the 'Cinderella' stories with wild card teams or highly unfavoured division winners, as gay as it sounds. Fucking adore the teams who sneak in as a wild card and get hot at the right time and get all the way to the big show. It's just a big fuck you to the dominant teams all season that can't get it done when it matters. Credit to the Colts and Saints though, they've set the league right this year.

I don't know what she could possibly be referring to? The pass interference call on Ben Leber? Could have gone either way. The Meacham completion? Again, could have gone either way. It's just such a stupid thing to say. The Vikings lost this game by losing three fumbles, not at all because of the refs.

When i say "supposed to", its like a metaphor for like some kind of "higher power" looking over the Saints. I mean, things like this happen, but c'mon. Holding on to the ball is one of the fundamentals of the game. Just like dribbling a basketball, just like throwing a baseball to your first baseman. I could see a team in the NFC championship doing 2, maybe 3 FUMBLES, but 5? This is destiny for the Saints.


I'm just glad for the Vikings kicker because if would've gotten an opprotunity and missed a game-winning FG, Minnesota would've wanted his head.

After 1998, if Ryan Longwell had taken a field goal and missed, it would have been devastating.

However, arguably the worst play of the game was the 12th man penalty with 19 seconds remaining. I would give Longwell a 70 percent chance of making that kick for the win, and in reality the likelihood would probably have been a lot higher.

I hate it more when that occurs because ESPN had been predicting and hyping Saints v Colts since mid to late season when both were undefeated. Similar to last year's NBA playoffs where all they promoted was Kobe vs Lebron for the Finals then got "sad" when Magic upset the Cavs. Too much hype or focus on Peyton vs Brees when in reality both teams defense carried them to the playoffs.
