Rumor is they going to increase the Friends List to reach over 100 since the original Xbox for Live had a limited number allowed for Friends List and a few other issues that needed to be kept.

Had Microsoft not half-assed the whole backwards compatibility, they could have prevented the whole problem by either having separate lists for Xbox and Xbox 360 Friends Lists or something similar to the Wii where the system acts like a virtual Gamecube when a Gamecube game is played and like a regular Wii when a Virtual Console/Wii/Wiiware game is played.

Would explain why they cut short the whole Xbox Originals and Xbox compatibility program almost a year ago.
