Don't remember the link to the website but it was all about real-life feuds and stories (like Sid vs Arn Anderson in a hotel room) but always remembered a few of them.

Supposedly during one of the meetings before Wrestlemania XIV Vince was discussing with HBK to drop the title to Austin as a way to help him rise as a new star. HBK refused since Bret Hart liked Austin and Vince had the Undertaker plea with HBK to drop the belt. Instead of pleading, Undertaker basically threatened to kick his ass in front of everyone in the meeting and the moment after his Wrestlemania match was over if he refused to job.

HBK realizes he can't win an argument with the Undertaker, who at the time was probably Vince's #1 most trusted guy, he decides to drop the title to Austin and the rest is history.

I have never heard that story substantiated, and even if that is true, HBK was coked out of his mind with a BROKEN FUCKING BACK and still put on a classic to make Stone Cold Steve Austin a star.

Apparently it was more along the lines of Shawn makes a pissy comment during one of his old tantrums, mentions not jobbing to Austin at Mania and apparently Taker had a word or let people know that he was happy to give Michaels a slap if that was the case. Just an off the cuff comment and he got put in his place quickly enough, no meetings or dragging it out etc. Don't recall whose book it was in, one of Foley's maybe.
