People actually thought Vince sold Raw to Donald Trump.

Nothing surprises me anymore ever.

Yea I'm pretty sure I read something about the SEC questioning the legality of the sale of Raw, forcing WWE to come out and admit it was just an angle.

No doubt from some retard on this site. Fourfifty was touting that version of things.

What the SEC investigation came down to was investigating use of such an angle as a form of shareholder fraud. Still sound stupid? Well, predictably, WWE stocks were impacted. This is exactly the sort of thing the SEC investigates. Hardly the worst case, but still what they do.

Didn't the WWE announce on its website that it was a work? Even so, couldn't they argue that their share prices were impacted simply due to having a great storyline featuring the on-going presence of Donald Trump, not the legitimate sale of Raw?
