Besides, you gotta love Nintendo's handheld track record. How long was it after the Game Boy Pocket before the Game Boy Colour came out? How long after the Gameboy Colour before The GBA? How long after the GBA before the GBA SP? How long before the Game Boy Micro? How much time between the Micro and the DS?
The last one is a trick question as the DS came out first, but the average is 2 to 3 years between iterations. |

I got a DS phat shortly after it came out. Pretty satisfied with my purchase and haven't thought about "upgrading." I thought of getting the DSi..but then..I have a flash card that can hold music, videos, roms, etc. Then..I have the web browser(which I bought right when it came out and imported and its all on Japanese so I have to wing it.) I remember I upgraded from the GBA to the GBA SP..mostly because the screen light crap. But seriously..for those who don't have a DS yet..get with it..there is a seriously bad ass library of games out there..cheap as hell too.

this is why I'm not upgrading to one of the XLs any time soon. While I'd love a bigger screen with more options, I'm not going to keep buying the new shit that will be obsolete in a year. |
