It's worth noting that even though IW has all that money, it's not free to run game servers 24/7 like that. They have to maintain somehow.

Thats why I only play for little spurts, I get pissed that I have to keep paying for it and quit until someone entices me to play again. I have quit again and unlikely to start again.

I didnt pay for either expansion, but thats beside the point.

Its not like they just rehashed the whole starting area and added it in, this add ALOT of new shit when they add an expansion you must admit.

Yeah, completely understand that.

However at $60 or more a pop for about 20 million copies, I doubt they are anywheres near short on money.

Well you better go yell at Trips, because it hasn't been fixed. What's a timely manner? The major glitches have all been patched within a week or two, and it would've been quicker if not the need for Microsoft certification.

Why do you assume it's simple? I'm not gonna pretend I know anything about coding a game, but I don't think it's that easy. It's not like there's some line of code that says "make care package=infinite" that they just forgot to take out.

Before the patch for the fix, holding a CP smoke can in your hand made you run approx 2.33x normal speed.
Then I guess I'm the luckiest person to ever play the game, because I didn't notice it. The care package running, yes I saw that. I may have been knifed by it a few times, but certainly not to the point where I was throwing my controller or anything.

It's not, but their current system barely uses as much resources as a moderatly popular website.

A matchmaking server (which is even ran/owned by MS on Live) and then somewhere to stick XP/Prestiege.

As for the glitches, the amount of time to fix does smack of laze/greed. They already got your money and know they can gouge some more out of you too so why bother with it? People shouldn't bitch so hard if they're going to continue playing though, completley destroys their argument.

Wasn't aware of the hosting thing.

Basically. The reason there's no point in bitching, is because 5 maps are easily worth $15. To refuse to buy it just cause they tacked on a couple extra bucks is nitpicking. You're going to play the game regardless, and depriving yourself of more content that could possibly refresh the game for you, just because they charged a few bucks more than it was worth... that's just dumb.

How can you justify paying a monthly fee (you still ARE paying a monthly fee, regardless of if you don't do it constantly), but not just SLIGHTLY more (ONCE, no less, possibly twice if more content is released later) for some content and to help with the cost of maintaining such a game.

I would pay for the content much easier if I knew for certain it wouldnt be filled with glitches/wall bugs/etc.

Its not like IW has a great track record with these things.

I will likely eventually get it because one map is a sniper haven which does have my interest along with overgrown which was fun.

I kinda miss ambush though, that map was the shit.
