Most of the new songs you have to buy on your pc for a day at least until they get posted on the RB2 RBN store. So if you can't find a song in the in game store, you can get it online through microsoft.

When I first got Rock Band 2, I couldn't fathom myself ever beating a song like Visions on Expert Drums. Anyways, tonight after 4 or so hours of playing, I decided to try playing Visions for the first time in months. I had breakneck speed on, and so I wasn't too optimistic about beating it.

I missed a lot of the notes in the beginning, but something dawned on me. I could actually make out a lot of the "patterns" in the song. Granted, I missed a good chunk, but only once did I find myself in the red throughout the whole song. And so without even practicing on the song earlier in the day, I actually beat a song I struggled with since the release of the game.

Now the only song left on the Rock Band 2 setlist that I need to beat is Panic Attack. >_> And once that's fallen, Endless Setlist 2, here I come!

That strange 'revelation' is something other players have spoke about before. Out of nowhere you're hitting notes and patterns like a player possessed. It's something I wanted to look into further but haven't the data for any significant observation.

I think it has a lot to do with memory in regard to music timing and muscle movement. I've only briefly studied memory during my basic psychology course but I'm sure there's something there.
