Well, like I said..overall it was not really a bad match. I just felt that since they are doing it with HBK again..it was going to be even more epic than the first one. You know when you have friends that run their mouths about a movie so much and then you see it and you expect it to be so huge but it isn't? that is what I felt like. There was cool spots like the moonsault and such but I guess my expectations overall were higher.

How did Sheamus-Triple H manage to rate better than Edge-Jericho when Edge-Jericho had to get the crowd hot again from the previous match and had a nice ending to it?

Same for Cena-Batista being a bit too high for rating.

Not sure, I thought Edge/Jericho was the second best match of the night. I guess PWT really enjoyed this show, usually they are pretty harsh with their ratings (not as bad as Dave Meltzer though)

For the record, they gave Taker/HBK five stars last year

Well even with that disadvantage of having to follow Bret-Vince, Edge-Jericho failed to deliver that amount of expectations we all had while Sheamus had a great match with HHH. I have to agree with them.

What was good about that match?

The chair beating and the finish needed to be done and if it was only that, I'd have said I expected it, whatever. EVERYTHING before it was unnecessary and drawn out. I'm not the only one who thinks this. About 70k people at that stadium agreed. They popped for exactly ONE spot, the rest of the match was dead silence.

You're going to tell me that a man getting blown up and looking like shit in the ring is entertaining? Bret looked sad in there and he should have stayed out as far as I'm concerned. He just revealed himself to a whole new generation of fans, and those fans are going to look at that match and never think twice about watching a Bret Hart match. They won't want to.

You have to understand that Bret vs Vince was all about history and "vengeance".

The reason why The Harts came to the ring was because "the screwjob" was because some people say that "The Screwjob" was a slap in the face not only to Bret, but to the whole family...so it's only fitting that when Bret gets his revenge, the family is there as well...

...it was a nice little moment...and the match itself was all about the visual of seeing Bret Hart and Vince McMahon in the same ring, and seeing Bret beat up Vince...take it for what it was...

HOWEVER...call me crazy, but after the match, I found myself actually thinking that if put in with a Shawn Michaels, or a Steve Austin (someone who is a veteran and can make the other wrestler look GREAT), Bret could really wrestle a match...he didnt look that bad.

Seriously, I had a blast watching this show. My only beef was that Bret vs. Vince was pretty awful to watch, and 5 minutes of that should have been taken off and given to Punk/Rey. Everything else was a lot of fun to watch (except the divas, but cmon).

You people need to lighten up, lol..gees

Here are my thoughts on WRESTLEMANIA XXVI:

Tag Team Championship Match
They didn't give them enough time to do anything, and it seemed like Morrison/Truth were squashed. It was a decent opener to get the crowd going with the fan interaction and athleticism of Morrison/Truth and the "DAMN!" of Big Show knocking the shit out of people.


Legacy Implodes! Triple Threat Match
Nice match. Did Cody not know about the "Brown tights never look good" rule? Nothing really "OMG!" about it, but it was a nice match. I would have liked to see Ted go over, but that is because I hate Randy Orton and Cody's nose-stud.


Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Nice match and a couple of cool spots. I was worried with so many guys they might do an over-choreographed stunt and somebody would get hurt, but nothing really "huge" happened. Jack Swagger winning with his Kurt Angle rip-off gear was a shock, and I will be interested to see where it goes.


Triple H vs Sheamus
Nice match. Sheamus was made to look good, and Triple H looked good. Much like the show, it was good but nothing that I will remember for the rest of my days.


CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio
Nice match, but it should have had more time. It seemed like it ended right as it was going to pick up. I was hoping CM Punk would win, but Rey winning made sense and was good for him to get his justice for his daughter.


Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon
This wasn't a match moreso than a moment. The Hart Family thing was interesting, but the match took too much time. It was really surreal to see Bret Hart beating the shit out of McMahon. They could have cut down this match to give more time to Mysterio/Punk, Tag Title match, or Jericho/Edge but this was such a huge moment I understand giving it the time they felt it deserved. I was surprised how quiet the crowd was, but it seemed like they were waiting for the Sharpshooter. I am glad Bret was able to come back and give the entire wrestling world and himself closure.



World Heavyweight Championship - Edge vs Chris Jericho (c)
I enjoyed the match, and was surprised that Edge lost. I was watching with a group of friends and we were rooting for Edge to win so there was a chance Cena would lose. Nice match, but could have been longer and Edge going crazy was neat. I was wondering where this feud will go and if maybe they will do a double-turn or something with Edge and Jericho.


10-Diva Tag Team Match
Served its purpose. We spent the bulk of the match telling one of our friends about the pics of Kelly Kelly pissing in a sink, Mickie James' Arby's Sandwich-esque vagina, and how fucking hot Maryse is and looking them up on the iPhones and laptop. It was neat seeing Vickie pay homage to Eddie, but she really needs to never ever be in a ring.


WWE Championship Match - John Cena vs Batista (c)
I was suprised by how good this match was. The bulk of my group hated Cena, so our hatred of Cena really got us into this match. Cena's entrance sucked, but the match was really good considering WiggerMaximus and Thor were wrestling. My only complaint is that Cena's STF is so fucking horrible and no wrestler should be forced to act like that move hurts. I never saw Cena once wrench his fucking neck back. Alas, Cena won and posed with the "We Hate Cena" people. I was loving the 2006-style crowd booing the shit out of Cena. I know we all have thought this before, but they might be building toward a heel turn for Cena.


Career vs Streak - Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker
I am glad this match got the time and spot it deserved. Shawn Michaels and Undertaker told an awesome story if this is indeed HBKs last match, then it was worthy of being the final chapter of his career. It felt weird with HBK just walking up the ramp thanking the fans and smiling with no music or anything. It really felt like that it was his last match, but I'll believe it when I see it.


Overall Thoughts
Great show, but I kept on waiting for something HUGE to happen and it never really came. I don't understand all the bitching, but we all have an opinion. I'll watch it later by myself and see how I feel about it then as watching with a group is always fun as you all get into it a lot more.
