The point however, remains that for Sony to be the console for MMOs, it would still have to have, you know, MMOs that Microsoft doesn't. Since these titles aren't coming out for PS3, there's really nothing to advance it as such. The notable exception is FF, where Microsoft has already made an exception once and in all probability will again.

Nobody's contesting Microsoft are against subscription services which aren't theirs, because it's true. However, that in itself is not sufficient to make Sony a giant in the field. These games were being designed for the 360 because parallel development with a PC version is relatively easy.

I'm going to have to try the PC demo, knowing it's probably never coming out for the 360. To be honest, I can't imagine an Xbox controller being good for an MMO, but my PC isn't really a gaming rig so I tend to opt for console versions.
