I dunno why im gonna discuss this with someone who doesnt even watch basketball, but i will anyway.
James is a good player, no question. What the problem is is that he is not the perfect amalgamation of every NBA great in history. He is not Voltron like most try to make him out to be. He doesnt have the greatest shooting touch, he doesnt make the greatest passes, he doesnt have Dennis Rodman type instincts. He is an athletically gifted player. Big, strong, and fast...which is why (once again, if you watched any basketball) you see him drive the lane to get his point/assists more than shoot the ball. And accomplishing and 'doing something' is different. Fucking Darrel Armstrong 'did something' enough to be a star for Orlando years back by leading his team in scoring, but what did he accomplish? |
