The players had no sense of togetherness, they clearly didn't like the system being played and there was open revolt against him.

England not being that good a team is the reason they've gone out, no idea what the team has to be called a golden generation. You've Cole who is proper top best in the world quality then Rooney and Gerard just behind him who'l never be as effective for England as they are for their clubs because their clubs are set up to their strengths. After that it gets average fairly quickly Sure hes made some odd choices like persisting with Heskey but every England manager loves big Emile for whatever reason.
To suggest Beckham would do better by giving them passion is nonsense. I can't think of anyone who'd entertain taking the job that would do a better job than Fabio.
