Maybe they gave him a run with the title to put over the concept of Money in the Bank, given they now have a PPV called Money in the Bank?

Quite a powerful concept if you consider that every MITB winner has gone on to lift a title when cashing in(well, technically not the winner, as Edge challenged Kennedy for the briefcase, but when it was cashed in, it was a title win).
