It's the same as blade jobs or unprotected chair shots. It's not neccessary. I have never and never will watch a match and think "that was great but it could have used a chairshot to the head or a piledriver."
Great storytelling is great storytelling, and moving past a couple of dangerous minor spots to protect the workers is not going to change this. In fact I view it as a good thing.
