I don't know exactly when I would have The Miz cash in, but a Royal Rumble title match could work really well for him. Then if he does lose, he can enter the match still and have another great showing there. It's obvious the WWE really wants to build this guy up. I would start foreshadowing this direction as early as SummerSlam, though. Sheamus' title reign is still in its stages of infancy, and his reign hasn't exactly been the most dominant; but right now Randy Orton is perhaps the hottest babyface the WWE has. It might be the wrong move to have him put over Sheamus. Especially since I think Sheamus vs. Triple H, when it eventually does happen, won't need the WWE Title involved. Orton can go over in a close match with Sheamus at SummerSlam (perhaps Sheamus can even kick out of an RKO), and then as Orton is celebrating..."I came to play!" The Miz walks out, and everyone instantly assumes he is cashing in. But The Miz gets on the mic and tells Orton to relax, because he's not cashing in. He just wants the current WWE Champion to know that he plans to cash in his title shot ahead of time. Then he says all that stuff about proving himself, etc. Imagine closing the show with that confrontation -- Orton with the WWE Title, The Miz with the MITB briefcase. You can even have members of the roster, both faces and heels, doubt that The Miz will actually go through with what he says. But The Miz sticks to his guns, and sure enough does announce his title shot. Preferably, he goes over. It would be a great way of saying "The Miz has arrived." |

I like TSO's idea.
You could even have him say that he will cash in at a certain point (say 4 weeks away) only for him to surprise the champ and take it before. The theory being that the champ can rest as he doesn't need to be worried that Miz will cash in, only for Miz to use that to his advantage. I think Miz going back on his word would also get him over even more as a heel. |

He should cash it in on a RAW, just for the "shock" value.
Like, at the END of RAW...somehow Sheamus (or whoever the champion is) is involved in a tag match or something, and after it's done, Miz comes out, cashes it in and wins the belt. That would surprise us, and set up next week's RAW, which would get more people to tune in. |

Honestly, what I would do?
I would have him cash in on Ted Dibiase Jr. for his Million Dollar Title. Have some monster like Mark Henry or Eli Cottonwwod come out & smash Dibiase mid-promo, cut in some shots of Maryse selling the beating. Totally put over that he gets the tar taken out of him. Dibiase is unconcious, the monster leaves & Maryse starts inching her way in to see if Teddy's OK. Miz's music hits, he comes in, hands over the case & puts the exclamation point on with the Skull Crushing Finale. Maryse looks at Miz & the Dead Dibiase, is instantly on Miz's arm & leaves with him. Miz comes out at the next show & has a contractual loophole that the Million Dollar Title was sanctioned, based on Ted's father defending it against Jake Roberts & Virgil or something. Miz gets a Million Dollar Belt & Maryse (who he has history pursuing), Maryse gets put over further as a Golddigger heel, Dibiase becomes a "man who's lost everything", and WWE does something truly different with the MITB shot. Most of all, they DON'T hotshot a title onto Miz just for the sake of doing it, resulting in a Slow Build.

Sounds all good except the contract is only for the WWE championship.

That was the whole concept at the last PPV. The smackdown winner could only challenge the World champion and the raw winner only the wwe champ. Also, the million dollar belt is not officially recognized so that's scrapped off as well.

Well, who would actually cash in for the Million Dollar Championship? You'd feel like Lex Luger at Summerslam 1993. Sure, you won a match, but what did you really win? He's already got Maryse.
![]() I love the idea to cash in at a scheduled time and place. I might even wait until some 3-hour Special. Or maybe have the Miz cash it in on the debut of Friday Night Smackdown on SyFy. It would be a big moment for the WWE to debut on their new station with a WWE Championship match. They usually make big events like that co-branded anyways, so it could work out. |
