Did Danielson's release tone down the NXT angle?

You know, why do they have to be pussies about it? I'd be much happier if they made his firing an angle. Have him get "injured" or lose in a stipulation match or something. That way it's a lot better than editing footage and trying to avoid mentioning his name.
