I don't get how people can bitch about Bryan's return being spoiled. You're on the net, that's where spoilers happen.

Just watch the PPV, then come here to chat. Simple.

Yeah, maybe I would have enjoyed the show a bit more that way... but still, there just was no big time feel to the show.

Well, you can look at Survivor Series 1998 as a prime example. They could have easily booked the Deadly Games tournament for the WWF title to have Austin "beat the odds" and come out on top with the belt, but they didn't. In fact, he lost in the second round.

They could also have given The Rock a clean babyface victory, "beating the odds" of the Corporation and winning the belt.

Instead they ran an angle where Mankind was Vince's "chosen boy," the guy who was going to be the new Corporate champ. And in the main event, Vince screwed Mankind to turn The Rock heel and make him the actual new Corporate Champion, building in automatic angles with Rock/Austin and Rock/Mankind.

I mean, I'm just answering your question.

Everyone's having a normal discussion about plain WRESTLING, and a "tough guy" has to come in...

...pfft.

To answer u, we are in the year 2010, techonology has advanced, we as fans have also advanced and everything is more accessible...so a Billion Dollar Company like WWE should know that and protect itself. Some of us like to interact with other fans while watching a PPV, exchange opinions, etc.

– I knew about Bryan Danielson’s return to WWE earlier this afternoon. I kind of hinted about it in a post earlier this evening when I said he cancelled indy bookings this weekend and also had an open date for the Night of Champions PPV next month. Ryan Clark

"Tough Guy"?

Regardless of technology, there is still human error - which is what happened with the Danielson spoiler.

I still maintain that you can't come on the net to discuss wrestling at any point (build up to show, suring show, etc) and expect not to have stuff "spoiled". That's the modern wrestling landscape as you say.

No doubt, sometimes they do things creatively that involve good planning, people react to and they stray from the norm to swerve people. See: Cena being eliminated from that Elimination Chamber match in about 2 minutes last year.

The outcome of said Austin angle in the end? Austin beats Rock to regain the belt at Mania.

I feel they attempted this when Kane repeatedly opened the casket to tease Taker being inside.

While I didn't get my moment of redemption by witnessing Triple H putting a sledgehammer through John Cena's skull, the 7 on 7 match was the match of night but sadly that isn't because of the match so much as the lackluster card. This was a very promo/storyline driven ppv which is different, but it does make me hopeful that there is a lot to come over the next few months. While the ending sucked, it works. Daniel Bryan looked like a fucking star tonight and I am proud that WWE did the right thing with him tonight. This show lacked any big time ppv moments and it felt like a really badass episode of RAW moreso than SummerSlam, but I do know I will be glued to my DVR tommorrow night after work to watch RAW.

Also, I want to give WWE credit on somehow finding an even more annoying fucking color scheme for John Cena merchandise.

Twas a really great match overall

This isn't the end of the Nexus angle, far from it, and they could easily come back more pissed off. They still haven't revealed the 'bigger picture' in their plan, and I'm sure with that coming up soon, they'll be just fine. These are guys who were nobodies 6 months ago, and now main evented one of the big four PPVs.

If you're going to bitch about something, bitch about the way the SES/Big Show match was booked.
This. I didn't watch the PPV, but reading up on it, it sounds about as well booked as I would have expected. John Cena only eliminated Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett. Nexus don't come out looking weak from this.

Darren Young and Michael Tarver were both eliminated pretty early, but they get the rub from just being in the main event of SummerSlam. Neither is ready for that level of performing. Skip Sheffield sounds like a beast, though, eliminating both John Morrison and R-Truth via Murder by Lariat.

Heath Slater is the real winner coming out of this match -- he technically eliminated the entire Canadian contingent of Team WWE -- Bret Hart, Chris Jericho & Edge. Between them, those three men have held 22 World Championships. I know many people hate him for whatever reason, but I am becoming a Slater fan just for the hell of it. Way to go, Heath!

David Otunga and Justin Gabriel didn't eliminate anyone, but they lasted a fair while in the match, so that's something. Wade Barrett got to pin Bryan fucking Danielson, and had his part in Bret Hart getting eliminated. Barrett can easily bounce back from this.

Coming out of this PPV, I am excited for the following things:

* Kofi Kingston has a right to be pissed off at the Nexus. It's just a little thing, but if Kofi randomly shows up on RAW looking for them, that could be kind of cool.

* Kane has looked like a fucking monster recently. I actually have high hopes that The Undertaker will let Kane get a few big victories over him.

* Daniel Bryan will probably take the US Title from The Miz. That will be awesome. It might almost make me want to order Night of Champions.

* I'm curious to see how the Nexus bounces back, and whether or not there is follow-up to some of the eliminations. For example, a Chris Jericho & Edge vs. Skip Sheffield & Heath Slater tag team match would make sense coming from this PPV.

Yeah, in the END Austin overcame the odds and won the title after chasing the title for months. He didn't over come the odds every fucking week or two and win decisively like a damn cartoon character.

I'm about to go put on lipstick, because Vince Mcmahon just fucked me out of $45.00. I don't wanna hear shit about TNA's booking anymore because that perversity of a ppv was the worse thing I've seen in WWE since December to Dismember. There was a pointless finish to the WWE Title match, just to set up HHH vs Sheamus I guess. The second best match of the night was ruined by Nexus. They came out and jumped two smackdown stars. They're on fucking Raw. The Undertaker's return was lame and very unoriginal.Kane carries around a black coffin for weeks and then on ppv it's magically huge and red? (DUH!) I don't even wanna bring up the women's segment....jesus christ. The main event was very good when The Dragon was in.Both of the Miz's segments were very good. The rest was average and the ending destroyed it for me.There is a lot of laziness in the wwe booking these days and I am damn tired of it.I give Summerscam 2 Coors light bottles out of 10. This event was Concrete Crypt bad. I'm dissapointed in WWE.

And Austin can sell moves far better than Cena.
