What's so great about being the U.S. and WWE champ simultaneously? Especially if only for 20 minutes on a PPV? Cashing in on a Jericho or Orton after being dismissed as a reality show hack would be enough to get him over. Why celebrate having a midcard title when you're the heavyweight champ. One's a midcard belt and the other is the top of the company.

By the way, I know you guys love him, but I don't see any legit long term heavyweight title reigns in Daniel Bryan's immediate future.

The I.C. Belt and the U.S. title have way more in common and served the same purpose in the WWF and WCW. Celebrating having both of those makes much more sense.
