Yes, there have been threads, but I enjoy talking about things like this. I think it's important to recall history in wrestling politics so that we all know where it came from and where it's going. Unfortunately, most here would choose to ignore speaking intelligently on that.

I actually think he has been given plenty of credit for what went down in the 90's. It is true that he set the stage for big changes and progression in the wrestling business, but some of the changes seemed to have had some long term negative effects. Obviously, the kind of success WCW saw for a few years was due to massive funding from Turner, and Ted's personal mission to make a run against the all powerful WWF. That kind of a success was not sustainable, as Turner lost some power with WCW and all of the sudden its priority in the grand scheme of the Turner company went from top to bottom. It is clear that the attitude era had to be brought in in order to give some kind of spark back to the WWF. Would it have happened without the success of WCW? Well let's take a look at what's going on today. Basically...and my opinion is based on the current trends...WWE is currently coasting. It has no competition to speak of, and the business itself has gone stale in the fans' eyes. It's almost as if the same thing was happening before the big boom in the 90's. Will Bischoff be able to do with TNA what was done with WCW? I say no....for one main reason, and that's the money. There is not near enough funding to do what I think he would want to do with them. Forget about whether or not the wrestlers are any good or the booking is any good. Without that funding you cannot compete on any level with WWE. I mean look at the Impact zone. Even if TNA puts on a better show, they still seem quite inferior to the casual observer because that Impact zone looks so darn small time. It has to look like a big deal to the fans and it hasn't gotten there yet.
