2.
He was before my time, and nothing I have seen of his has entertained me, including the WM3 match with Hogan. I gave him 2 for his legacy etc. |

I am going with 8 because he was one of the first big drawing attractions of wrestling. Is his younger days he could wrestle but the one reason I went with 8 is the fact everyone thinks he was undefeated his whole career which is not true he lost once in Japan and lost to the Sheik in Canada once I have it on DVD.
But he was kind man with an even bigger heart and any stories involving him are always good. His legacy is one of the best out there. |

10. If you watched all his earlier matches before he gained a lot of size, he was really athletic and can wrestle. At the same time he gained a lot of size (i.e. WM 3 vs. Hulk Hogan), he can also give out a great performance.

Also he used the Tombstone Piledriver and Hogan wasn't the only one to Body Slam him.

Great wrestler and a unbelievable drinker. I'm giving him a 10 to balance all the BULLSHIT 1'S AND 2's that he has gotten.

A 10, nothing less will do.
I been a fan of wrestling since i was 4 (1987 was my intro to wrestling) and all the matches (with the exception on Taker v Mankind) which i rate as the best have Andre in them. Not the most athletic by any means, but damn good at his job. |

Oh he was easily a 10. anyone who gave 1's and 2's, check out the Andre the Giant DVD that WWE put out some years back. Its got a bunch of his older matches from the 1970's and early 80's. Really good in the ring for his size. Amazing movement in the ring before his disease started to take over on him in the mid 80's or so.
He was also very underrated when it came to comedy. His backstage promo with Bob Uecker at WM4 was priceless, as was his deathly fear of snakes storyline when he feuded with Jake the Snake in 1989. Truly one of the all time greats. |

I've watched wrestling for a loooonnggg time and i can tell ya andre was incredible In the mid seventies it was a treat to see Andre cause back then ,he went everywhere he wasn't stuck in one promotion for a year.he wrestled a few months, got into a few feuds(I remember his first feud with Hogan back in 79-80 i think) gave him a 9,truly one of the greatsIt's only a shame he didn't hold the title for long cause really , who coulda taken it back then in his hey day..nobody.He did what they wanted yes but no one told him what to do.When hogan beat Andre in wm 3 Hogan was worried that andre would change his mind at the last minute and not let him win(it's documented)Andre put Hogan over ,His health was deteriorating so it was time to pas the torch. He was a class act all the way.
