HTML Editor
Recommend a good FREE program to use to make a web page.
I used to have frontpage when I had WIN98, but I had to reformat and install WINXP. I didn't get a chance to back up all my programs and I can't find the frontpage program on any of my discs. ![]() So gimme a program I can use to make a simple page. I am familiar with HTML, but the less I have to think it out on my own the better. I'm not going to do anything complicated with it. Basically going to use it to slap pictures on a page and upload them so I can use them on another site. Thanks ![]() |

I tried Dreamweaver. It worked, just took me awhile to figure it all out.

Yeah when I was doing my ICT course at college, we started out by doing it all in Notepad, but to do it in there you need to know what your doing.
This year they (I say 'they' because I got kicked off the course ![]() |

Dreamweaver is the answer to quick HTML. On top of being able to use manual HTML (the kind of stuff you would put in Note Pad) you are allowed to drag and drop and edit just about everything. Let me get a picture. On this I added some frames and tables from a couple of clicks.
It handles practically everything in forms of page set up. XML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, JSP, ColdFushion, ASP, VB, VBScript, etc. It's a very deep program that I believe every website programmer, if they don't already, should have. If you are just starting and have no idea what to do, it's easy to pick up with dragging and dropping and actually learning the code by looking at it. Last edited by DS; 04-29-2007 at 05:35 PM. |
