Was always a fan of Eddie, the WCW days were actually my favourite character of his. He was the definately most badass cruiserweight. |

WWE... Hell, professional wrestling has never been the same. From his early work as Black Tiger II to Latino Heat, I have nothing but respect for this competitor. By far a one of kind character, and someone who will be missed for years to come.

Five years, and Vickie is still sucking the tit of her husbands legacy, got to love it.

...If Eddie hadn't died, we would've never had Vickie Guerrero as Smackdown GM, 'cause Eddie wouldn't have allowed her to become so involved in the business.

At least it's a way to let Vickie provide for her family. There's nothing wrong with it, really. And she's actually a good, annoying heel.

Who would've thought that Vickie would be one of the great annoying heels in the last couple years?

I remember when this song and video came out it tugged on my heart pretty good, and then when my sister died that January, I can't listen to this song for very long. Unreal to think its been that long... |

I remember when I first heard about Eddie's passing. I had just gotten home from visiting with my dad and I was on my computer and I saw a headline that read: "Pro wrestler found dead in hotel room." In an act of curiousity, I thought to myself, "Gee I wonder who this is?" When I saw the name Eduardo Gory Guerrero, I couldn't believe it because I like everyone else had just seen his match with Mr. Kennedy three days before. My favorite Eddie moment was when he won the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar at "No Way Out" the year before. I was so happy when he won the title; it really was the pinnacle of a great career that ended far too soon. Considering all that Eddie endured during his career and life, he damn sure deserved it. I've seen many latin legends over the years but there was only one Eddie Guerrero and after him, there will never be another like him.
R.I.P. "Latino Heat" we love and miss you. |

The strangest thing happened this morning when I was playing Smackdown Here Comes The Pain, in season mode, and Eddie won the Royal Rumble and faced my created wrestler at WrestleMania, I thought it was pretty ironic considering he passed away on this day 5 years ago.

Hard to believe it's been five years since Eddie passed. Sad that he was just starting to reap the benefits of all his hard work, then died in his prime. Still, amazing he survived as long as he did. His work, like many other greats who died young, is simply amazing with what he accomplied in a short time(WWE wise). One can only imagine what kind of awesome matches he could still be having if he were alive today. Like the saying goes, always imitated never duplicated(even if WWE failed to do so with that piss poor one dimensional Rey Mysterio).

His death was exploited bigtime by WWE. And the push his wife got as some moneygrabbing fat whore wasn't exactly the most flattering.
BTW, I was never a big fan of the guy--had nothing against him, and am saddened that he died and all, but people who don't watch wrestling could check out some of the shit WWE did after he passed away and they'd shake their heads. |

Eddie was a good rassler too bad he died. I saw him live when he debuted with the radicals in 2000 in Detroit. I think he hurt himself that night in a match with HHH if I remember correctly. It's sad, he wasn't even 40

Saw a tribute for Eddie today, and it is still hard not to tear up over it. Eddie's is the only wrestling related death that deeply affected me emotionally. I actually can remember the day I found out about his passing with remarkable detail. Truly an amazing performer, who overcame his demons, only to have the damage they caused ultimately take his life.
RIP Eddie, we miss you more than words can describe. |

everyone has their problems. Eddies were just a little worse than some. Eddie was a hell of a wrestler. R.I.P. Eddie. May people of the future remember you for your amazing wrestling, love and devotion to his family and may they learn from you mistakes and never repeat them.

One of the only wrestlers I have seen that could captivate and command an audience's attention as both a face and a heel.
There was seriously no point in his career where I was "bored" of him, or he didn't get a reaction. |

A drug addict who unlike most, managed to clean up his life, which he followed with some of the best work of his career, who left behind a wife and young children. Yes, no reason to think that's a sad case.

It's sad because Eddie was the example for everyone else to get clean. The guy turned his life around, but his past caught up with him.

Eddie Guerrero is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. I was literally heart broken when I came to know that he was dead. I thought it might have something to do with "Lie, Cheat & Steal" but he never came back

And that still bring's a tear to my eye. I remember that Sunday I was at my grandparents and mom called to say that she heard Eddie has passed, I was legit upset. Loved watching this mans work. Quote:
