The only thing I miss from the Attitude Era is Mr. McMahon. He was by far the best heel the business has and probably will ever see. He kept me glued to the TV. Other than him, the rest of it could have fucked off.

The Old School episode of Raw was one of the best and most-watched Raws of 2010 and brought back a lot of fond memories for a lot of people... including a lot of us here. Stop living in the past, huh?

It's like spitting on everything true wrestlers meant to the WWE Universe and the wrestling world.

Cheap Heat isn't cool, it's just downright lame.
And what amount of harping on the past will help this?

Further, the assumption of another boom is a really bad idea. The idea that things will always bounce back is pretty much the worst business model ever, and a poor way to justify the current state to a fan or from a fan's perspective.

Of course, there could be a billion dollar vaudeville boom any year now.

Yeah, I can definitely understand what you're saying. I guess comparing what the product is today to what it was "in the past" is like comparing apples and oranges. I do enjoy watching today, but I also miss a lot of the stuff from the past.

I am in total agreement with that sentiment.

My interest in reviews from past Raws was to see how it was seen at the time. I'd bet a lot of the stuff was given shit the same way some stuff now is.

I like the things mentioned in the first post except I never really watched much of WCW, but there's nothing wrong with preferring it over the modern stuff, but when you fixate on it like wrestling is the only form of entertainment, that might be a problem.

I never really got the excessive bitching, I agree the Attitude Era had more creative freedom and PG isn't as amusing as TV-14 but it still entertains me and if I hated it I wouldn't watch it/spend a lot of time bitching online about it.
