I can see there being another "shortage" like they had with the Wii. The DS sold really well so, once they start promoting the 3DS and point out how it's a DS but better and in 3D, I can see everyone wanting one.
It would have made a lot more sense to launch it at Christmas, from a money making point of view, IMO.
