I'm actually thinking we'll see a Triple H-free Royal Rumble. Not that I'm not looking forward to his return -- I am. His feud with Sheamus could be a great star-making event, and quite an emotional story (one of the best Triple H has been involved in since the roster split), and Triple H hasn't been an active competitor since the guys from NXT formed Nexus. There are matches with Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater that have not been done yet.
But I think the WWE will use Triple H to pop the RAW rating during Road to WrestleMania season. I think we'll see him on the RAW after the Rumble. |

I'll be pretty shocked if the Rumble doesn't feature a moment where Sheamus clears the ring, and HHH's music hits and Sheamus' jaw drops.
I'd bank money on it. I don't have any expectations set on any of it though. Just seems highly likely. And I wouldn't be suprised if one of the two wins it. Although I think if it is one of them, it should be Sheamus. There are a lot of other viable options though. There are 4 or 5 candidates I can very seriously see winning it, let alone other darkhorses. |
