Dunno about before that, like the Bam Bam/Lawrence Taylor match and all that stuff, but in recent years this is how it looks.

Kinda crappy, in my opinion anyway. I still like it to be that the Rumble winner is THE main event.

And the main event = the final match.

Not the fifth match on the card but considered a main event because the title is on the line.

I agree... I can't see Del Rio being in the main event unless he faces Cena/Undertaker and maybe Orton but there is no build for any of those matches... looks like Edge is the best bet to me.

I dont want to see Miz in the title match @ mania. I'd rather see the rumored Miz/Cole vs King/Bryan Or have that @ backlash and then Miz vs Byran @ Mania.
