MLB 2010-2011 Off Season Thread

Jesus Montero's odds of making the Opening Day roster just went up. Cervelli's out for at least a month. Montero is now the favorite to be the backup catcher to start the year with Romine also in the mix.

Don't really see the point in starting either guy's arbitration clock if they're only gonna play 1-2 games a week for 2-3 weeks or so. Unless they rake in spring and supplant Martin as the starter, they should probably just stick some veteran catcher onto the roster for that. Or they can just have Martin play basically every game with Posada as the emergency.
