The show was pretty good on tv but the other part that really didn't make sense was the Cena interview.
It might be due to there was no reason why Cole would interview Cena on Smackdown and Cena's promo being the same narrative style instead of him trashing the Miz and/or The Rock. I did love how they are using Clay like a bodyguard because it adds some more interest into the Edge-Del Rio match and lets Del Rio use Brodus Clay to beat up people Del Rio doesn't like or do all the dirty work so Del Rio can focus on Edge. |

Cole as a manager is looking more and more like the right thing to do. Swagger was going nowhere three weeks ago, but now he's in a feud as the corner man of heat machine Micheal Cole, which should help get himself some heel heat, and he's going against a babyface announcer who's been as over as ever over the last few months. I love that Christian's back, but I kind of wish they'd have just saved him for post Mania angles. I get what they're doing, but, honestly, with no MITB being on the card this year, what does Christian have going for him. Being left off the card is to be expected, but I think he should be left off tv. Little too late, though. |
