Billy Graham Demands To Be Removed From WWE HOF
what are your thoughts?

Superstar Billy Graham had an interview with SLAM! Wrestling where he said that not only does he want out of the WWE Hall of Fame, but he wants to fight Chris Jericho, based on comments Jericho made in his book insulting Graham for his comments about Chris Benoit.
On WWE Hall of Fame: “For the WWE to induct into their Hall of Fame, Abdullah The Butcher, who has never wrestled one match under a WWE contract, is bordering on blasphemy. I am demanding that this company remove my name from their index of Hall of Fame wrestlers. It is a shameless organization to induct a bloodthirsty animal such as Abdullah The Butcher into their worthless and embarrassing Hall of Fame and I want the name of Superstar Billy Graham to be no part of it. The WWE and their Hall of Fame is disgustingly embarrassing, I want out.”

Umm... Abdullah wasn't the first guy who never worked for WWE to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I thought it was pretty clear that the WWE Hall of Fame recognizes all of pro wrestling, not just WWE. Why the hell is he nitpicking NOW?

Yea, Abdullah, like others before him who hadn't wrestled for McMahon, are being recognized for the accomplishments and contributions in the wrestling industry in general. If he wants out, more power to him. If the rumblings about Vince wanting a Hall of Fame building in Florida are true, guess who's going to lose out?

Hint: It won't be Vince McMahon.

Not to mention the Sheik, another innovator of hardcore wrestling, is almost in the HOF. Gorgeous George, Verne Gagne, Ernie Ladd, and a few others never work in WWE yet are in the HOF. Graham is just been biased of that those who wrestled that style

I was more interested by his comments about Jericho. Damn I having read Jericho's book, but it seems to be pissing off a lot of bitter people. (See: Graham, Zbysko).

I think Graham's in poor health. Close to dead, but not quite. I'd feel a lot more sorry for him if he wasn't such a douche about everything. He tries to take aim at Jericho, but he pretty much just threatens him and says nothing credible.

him and Bruno need to chill the fuck out and realize times have changed, and Vince changed with it

you can't put on the same type of matches those guys did 35 years ago anymore

1. Dude is gonna die over the next year or 2 without another liver transplant. If he pawned his HOF ring as I read earlier (not heard that), it wouldn't surprise me if it was to pay for his health bills. And he has always been pretty outspoken but how dare he say something non-fellating about Jericho right, despite Jericho seemingly making a dickish comment throwing everybody from Marc Mero to WWE Hall of Famers under the same banner in relation to Benoit if they weren't pro-WWE.

2. There's a whole thing that 'broke' (and I'm surprised there isn't more attention being paid to it) with Abby possibly giving Hepititis C to an indy guy which apparently stopped him from getting signed (he used the same blade on him that he'd just used on himself, only without the guy's permission, something he has a long history of doing, apparently he won't prove he doesn't have Hep C yadda yadda yadda) So too right Billy Graham doesn't like the idea of WWE putting in Abby with this floating around, only it has jack shit to do with him not ever working for Vince. The fact WWE apparently rescinded the contract offer to this indy guy when they found out he had Hep C doesn't really help. Especially with Hep C being what will most likely eventually kill Billy Graham. But yeah, he's being a twat or something obviously.

1. Graham spoke out about how steroids had nothing to do with Benoit's destruction -- like he had a fucking clue what was going on with Benoit. What Jericho said about Graham was that it seems like Graham just wants a bit of spotlight off his friend's death.

2. But Graham isn't talking about that. Like, you know -- if that's what he said then you'd have a point. Except Graham is bitching because Abdullah was never in the WWE.

Also, if someone else brought up that Hep C story, you'd claim it was bullshit and that we were all super-smarks.

But good for him, not like he was on Larry King in relation to it or anything. Way out of the 'spotlight'.

1. That's exactly it, though. Graham had nothing to do with Chris Benoit, and as a friend, having using his death to get themselves in the spotlight must have rubbed him the wrong way. Graham, to my knowledge, had no real insight into Benoit's mental condition beyond just siding with the WWE.

What did Jericho even say about him? I remember reading the book and whatever it was didn't leave a lasting impression on me regarding Billy.

Don't group Bruno with Billy Graham.

I won't go into too much about Graham, because of all his BS and whatnot - it's hard to know with him what he's actually being real about and what shit he is just talking to get attention or stay relevant. He's just a waste.

Bruno is not bitter, he's just one of the few who never felt the need to be in the spotlight. He asked for nothing more than respect from Vince McMahon - and to this day, he hasn't got it. He's been smart enough to save his wrestling money and not need to make more, so he, unlike most guys ever in the business, does not need to kiss Vince's ass to make some more cash. He knows what a P.O.S. McMahon is, and is one of the few to call him on the carpet for it.

Just because a guy doesn't lick McMahon's balls like 99% of the rest of the wrestling world, doesn't mean he is bitter. I know for a fact that he gives credit to many 'modern' guys and what great talents they are - and that he has respect for 99% of the people he's worked with. Also, he has never publicly brought out the full McMahon - Sammartino story, which says a lot, because he could release some shit that would explain his story even more and show just how Vince is, but he doesn't because he feels he can just stay out of the spotlight and not have the go over all that all over again. Good for him.

Hannibal has worked in Thunder Bay a few times. He actually beat up a guy at this bar that I go to quite frequently haha. I drank with him and Honky Tonk Man in his hotel room til like 8am. Was pretty fucked...
