Exactly this.

I know it's what EA wants etc as a return, but seriously, I hope many stay with CoD as I predict they will. Whilst having a competitor SHOULD make better games as they want to up their products respectively, I also don't see BF as a replacement for COD. Like when BF2 came out and I was playing Counter Strike Source. They're totally different. The MP will show that. 32v32, air, land and sea vehicles, ground forces... Good times again. There's a trailer showing a tank battle from the campaign. My god. Dice managed to take that fake-ass prerendered trailer for PS3's Killzone and pretty much deliver.

The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is that map seems quite urbanised and in close. Hope there's a good balance of settings in maps, I've always liked big wide open maps.

I do kind of wish I had a decent enough PC to play this on, but I suppose I can settle for the 360 version. I'm just concerned that it coming out so close to MW3 is really going to dent sales.

I think it'll have the exact opposite effect actually. It coming out 2 weeks prior to MW3 will certainly pull some of the lesser die hard CoD players to BF3. BF3 is much more intense online and the fact you can do so much more is going to help boost the games sales overall IMO. That and the fact MW3 isn't being made by the 2 main guys that made the first 2 MW games.

Assault Class:
- Merged with Medic. You take lives at the front, and heal them. Makes sense, as medics are needed most where the line is drawn, and trench monkeys draw that line.

Engineer:
- Still repairs and destroys vehicles.
- Has a flash light that blinds enemies (lol wut?).

Support:
- Where the light machine gun lies, you can set a tripod anywhere and lay 'suppressing fire'. Suppressing Fire blurs enemies vision.

Recon:
- Nerfed somehow.

Hmm, wonder if the Support class gets Assault's ammo pack ability now that it doesn't have medkits. Would seem weird for one class to have both.

I can't say I agree with this, but I'll give it a try before I judge. Still don't see what good a flashlight does though. I mean yeah you blind someone close range, but that's if they haven't shot you in the head while you're running towards them with a flashlight like a re-re.

What were you going to get it for? PS3? I would, but Biff doesn't have a PS3. And my PC sucks too much to be able to enjoy it as much on PC, so I'm just going 360. Still think it is going to be just as fun.

Wasn't going to buy it, I have an early access token on Goozex so I used it for the PS3 version to play with G.

Probly still won't buy it. You'll have to wait til I Goozex it a few months after.

Honestly haven't been this excited for a shooter in probably 5 or 6 years. It just looks like a blast, and seems really well done. Like they were finally trying to outdo Call of Duty in every way. Think they've been putting out all these gorgeous gameplay videos for a while because they really want people focused on them instead of whatever MW3 puts out. Of course, I could get it and absolutely hate the multi-player or something.. but I have high hopes right now and I will be getting it on launch day probably.

I hope they do the weapon/class items/uh perks i guess? unlocks different in this then in BC2. I've got everything unlocked in BC2 and I am only rank 26 or something and don't see a reason to get to 50 and haven't played it in like 5 months.

If they're able to match or beat CoD's aiming mechanics, I'm in. BF2 was just too clunky for me.

Gun fighting in Battlefied is way more satisfying than CoD's bird neck, duck hunt thing it has.
